I was quite young when my father dragged me out on a trip where he took photographs of deities in some Indian temple with a Rolliflex camera. He blew it up hugely, and it was framed and hung on a wall right as we entered our apartment in Mumbai. I inherited that camera and my love of photography from him. Unfortunately, the next 45 years of my life were spent on education (PhD), research (Bell Labs), startups (three sequentially), and being a venture capitalist. Once I was semi-retired, I picked up the camera again.

I am self-taught and focused on photography, which involves people in the frame. Fashion indoors as well as outdoors. Streets of Paris, New York, Mumbai, and Fez, Morocco have been my stomping grounds so far. In Portraits, I prefer a more environmental style. I did dabble in boudoir and fine art nude photography and might do it again if I find the right muse.

Ultimately, I will sell a few prints, hold gallery shows, and produce a photography book. Inshallah!
